About this position: The Customer Service Account Representative will provide in-house tactical and strategic support to the Sales Field to drive customer business issues, received at the factory, to closure. The primary responsibilities of this position are post sales related activities at the headquarters office, with a secondary focus of developing strategies and solutions to increase customer satisfaction. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Managing and resolving backlog issues for Distribution and OEM customers
- Quoting product lead-times
- Addressing order expedites with Production Control
- Processing First Articles and customer waivers
- Maintaining and resolving open customer action items at HQ
- Working with Customer Marketing on key forecasted orders
Required Skills and Experience: - 4-5 years industry experience interfacing with Field Sales, Distribution and OEM customers in an internal Sales Account Management or Customer Service role
- BA/BS or Equivalent
- A self-motivated 'forward thinker' with strong analytical problem solving capabilities
- Good judgment when making decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills required
- Must be able to communicate with many levels within the organization
- Proven ability to manage priorities independently with little supervision
- Ability and willingness to be cross-trained in other sales regions as departmental back up
- PC proficient with a thorough understanding of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of JD Edwards ERP and Siebel CRM are strongly preferred
This position will require building strong relationships with the various field sales team levels , in addition to building strong relationships interdepartmentally and cross-functionally to drive customer business solutions. This person will champion customer issues at the factory to deliver timely, accurate and creative solutions to the field sales team and customers.
